How we use your information

Last updated: 28 October 2026

Who we are

This website is run by 49th Floor Consulting, based in Reading, Berkshire. We are responsible for the personal information you share with us through this website. If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your information, email us at info@49thfloorconsulting.com.

What we collect

We only collect the information you choose to give us, for example when you fill in our enquiry form, email us or arrange a call. Through the enquiry form this is your name, company and email address, your phone number if you choose to give it, the services you are interested in, and details of the bid you are working on.

When you send the enquiry form, your answers are emailed to us and also stored securely in our website’s database, so that no enquiry is lost. You must tick the consent box before the form can be sent.

Our website host may also keep standard server logs (such as IP addresses and the pages requested) to keep the site secure and working properly. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

How we use it

  • To reply to your enquiry and arrange any call you have asked for
  • To discuss and provide the services you are interested in
  • To keep a record of our correspondence with you

We will not use your information for marketing unless you have asked us to, and we never sell it.

Our lawful basis

Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR), we rely on our legitimate interests in responding to enquiries and running our business, and, where we go on to work together, on the steps needed to enter into or perform a contract with you.

Who we share it with

We only share your information with the service providers we need to run our business, such as our website host and email provider, and only as far as needed. We may also share it if the law requires us to.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for as long as needed to deal with them and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you get back in touch. If we work together, we keep records for as long as required for legal and accounting purposes.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. To do any of these, email info@49thfloorconsulting.com. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page.
